1. Overview

Military housing is available at 27 locations across Canada. An application for a Residential Housing Unit (RHU) are sorted according to the following factors:

For priority 1 and 2

• Applicant priority (section 5, Table 2 of the DND Living Accommodation Instruction);
• Change of strength (COS) or approved report-for-duty (RFD) date; and
• Household size – bedroom eligibility (Table 6 of the DND Living Accommodation Instruction).

For priority 3 and 4

• Applicant priority (section 5, Table 2 of the DND Living Accommodation Instruction);
• Date of the application; and
• Household size – bedroom eligibility (Table 6 of the DND Living Accommodation Instruction).
