Acts and Regulations
This section contains a link to the full text of the Food and Drugs Act and the Food and Drug Regulations from the Department of Justice Canada. It also provides access to proposed and recently adopted legislative and regulatory initiatives related to food and nutrition at Health Canada. Guidelines
Guidelines explain to stakeholders what is required to meet the Food and Drugs Act and Food and Drug Regulations. They provide guidance as to how the department interprets the Act, the Regulations and related policies and how the department intends to apply them.

Policies are created to describe Health Canada's position on an issue. In this section, you will find policies on such subjects as raw foods of animal origin, nutraceuticals/functional foods and healthy eating.
