Service standard for applications under Family Class Priority (Overseas - spouses, common-law partners, conjugal partners and dependent children)
Service standard
IRCC’s goal is to process applications under Family Class (Overseas - spouses, partners and dependent children) within 12 months. In order to process an application, we must have all information and supporting documents.
This service standard was implemented in April 2010.
Performance target
IRCC aims to meet the service standard 80 percent of the time.
Performance results
From April 2017 to March 2018, the service standard of 12 months was met 73% of the time. 80% of all applications were processed in 15 months. 80% of applications received since December 2016 were processed in less than 12 months. Further reductions are expected as applications from before December 2016 are finalized.
