How COVID-19 is affecting applications to visit, work or study in Canada

COVID-19 testing required for people flying into Canada
As of January 7, 2021, air travellers 5 years of age or older will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result to the airline prior to boarding international flights bound for Canada. See new requirements for air travellers.
Mandatory 14-day quarantine or isolation
Everyone entering Canada must follow mandatory isolation or quarantine requirements. Not respecting the mandatory requirements is a serious offence with consequences and penalties.
It costs $100 CAD to apply for a visitor visa and $85 CAD for your biometrics fee.
A family member or a trusted friend can help you with your application as an unpaid representative.
If you give an immigration agent (consultant, lawyer or Quebec notary) money for their services, they’re considered a paid representative and must be authorized.
