  • About the Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services

    The Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) provide programs and services that support the health and well-being of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and the Defence community. These programs and services are intended to build resilience and help members stay ready for duty by supporting their mental, social, physical, and financial well-being.

    CFMWS operates on behalf of the Chief of the Defence Staff, and under the authority of the Minister of National Defence.

  • About Staff of the Non-Public Funds, Canadian Forces

    Staff of the Non-Public Funds, Canadian Forces (SNPF CF) provide programs and services that support the health, fitness and recreation of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, Veterans, and their families — along with their financial and everyday shopping needs.

    Employees of SNPF CF are not part of the Department of National Defence or the Treasury Board, meaning they are not governed by the Public Service Employment Act but are part of Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), a separate employer under Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act of the Government of Canada.

  • Services Staff of the Non-Public Funds, Canadian Forces provide

    Specific roles filled by Staff of the Non-Public Funds, Canadian Forces (SNPF CF) include the following:

    • Personnel Support Programs (PSP) – fitness, sport, recreation
    • CANEX – retail services
    • SISIP Financial – financial planning and insurance
    • Military Family Services (MFS) – support for military families

     

    Many employees also work behind the scenes in areas such as Information Services, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing and Communications, and Corporate Services.
