2. – Minister’s first key messages about PrairiesCan
We are building one Canadian economy, and the Prairies are a major part of it.
Our region is an economic, agricultural and energy powerhouse that supports exports and creates good jobs that families rely on.
I am honoured to accept the Prime Minister’s call to oversee PrairiesCan and accelerate economic growth in communities across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
PrairiesCan is on the ground, focused on developing our natural advantages including critical minerals, value-added agriculture, clean-tech and zero-emission heavy vehicle manufacturing.
People across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba are ambitious and confident. They are making incredible efforts to build economic success. I am about working with them in seizing new opportunities for prosperity.
We have much to do together. It’s time to build the strongest economy in the G7, one that works for everyone.
