Overview
This guideline provides risk-based biosafety practices for facilities where Risk Group 1 (RG1) biological material is handled. This guideline provides the foundation upon which all the biosafety requirements for Containment Levels 2 through 4, as outlined in the Canadian Biosafety Standard (CBS), are established. This guideline has been revised to align its recommendations and best practices with updated content from the CBS, Third Edition, and it presents these recommendations in a format similar to the CBS.
