Free rapid tests for your employees
The Government of Canada, some provincial/territorial governments, and distribution partners are providing free rapid COVID-19 tests to organizations for regular workplace screening of close-contact employees.
Rapid tests are easy to administer and provide a result in 15 minutes.
It’s important to follow regulations issued by your province, territory and local public health authority. There may be differences for individuals who are authorized to administer rapid tests.
The use of rapid tests as a screening tool is another layer of protection. However, it's not a substitute for other public health measures, such as mask wearing, hand hygiene, physical distancing, proper ventilation and using the COVID Alert app.
Businesses and not-for-profit organizations are eligible to apply. Please complete the following form to express your organization’s interest.
Before you start
- the name of your organization
- the point of contact for your organization
- the number of close-contact employees you employ in Canada
- the provinces and/or territories in which these employees work
What to expect
Based on your organization’s location and number of close-contact employees, we will direct you to the most suitable source of rapid tests:
- directly from the federal government
- through a provincial/territorial government
- via distribution partners, including:
- chambers of commerce
- the Canadian Red Cross
For direct federal delivery, we are currently giving priority to employers with 200 or more close-contact employees.
