Canada Post strike: November 15, 2024

Canada Post has agreed to deliver benefit cheques for the Canada child benefit and related provincial and territorial benefits (including the Alberta child and family benefit) for November 20, 2024. All other benefit and credit payments issued by cheque from the CRA will be held until the strike has been resolved. To avoid any interruption to future benefit payments sign up for direct deposit.

The CRA makes Canada child benefit (CCB) payments on the following dates:

You will not receive a monthly payment if your total benefit amount for the year is less than $240. Instead you will receive one lump sum payment with your July payment.

Go to My Account to see your next payment or sign up to receive benefit and credit payment reminders about one week before the payment is issued.

If you don't receive your CCB payment on the expected payment date, please wait 5 working days before you contact us.
