End of COVID—19 special measures

Starting September 25, 2022 – the temporary changes to the Work-Sharing program implemented during COVID-19 will no longer be in effect. Agreements with a start date after September 25, 2022 will be under the regular Work-Sharing program. Active agreements starting on or before September 25, 2022 will not be impacted. Employers with questions related to the end of the COVID-19 special measures may send inquiries to edsc.dgop.tp.rep-res.ws.pob.esdc@servicecanada.gc.ca.

Employers seeking more information on the Work-Sharing Program may contact the Employer Contact Centre to find the following information:

Employer Inquiry Unit

Service Canada has created an inquiry unit for employers that are seeking general information related to the Work-Sharing Program. Employers may send inquiries to edsc.dgop.tp.rep-res.ws.pob.esdc@servicecanada.gc.ca.

Regional Work-Sharing Units

Employers applying for a Work-Sharing agreement or making a request to amend their Work-Sharing agreement must submit their completed forms by email to their respective regional Work-Sharing Unit:

Atlantic Provinces: esdc.tp-atl-ws-tp.edsc@servicecanada.gc.ca

Quebec: qc-dpmtds-lmsdpb-tp-ws-gd@servicecanada.gc.ca

Ontario: esdc.on.ws-tp.on.edsc@servicecanada.gc.ca

For general questions about their Work-Sharing Employment Insurance benefits and payments, employees can call the Employment Insurance Call Centre. Please note that for privacy reasons, Service Canada is unable to disclose information specific to an employee’s file to employers.
