Stages of Childhood
Children have different needs from the time that they are born until they are fully grown. The Public Health Agency of Canada produces and has access to research material that relates to children’s health, behaviour and education from the time before they are born to when they become young adults.
What information is available?
In this section, you will find information related to the different stages that children and youth pass through on their way to adulthood. There are resources that deal with matters regarding pregnancy and prenatal health. You will also find material covering child-related issues for the life periods of infancy, early childhood and adolescence. Links to external resources related to health promotion programs and initiatives that benefit all children and youth are also available through this section.
