How to access Canada Pension Plan services in MSCA
To access Canada Pension Plan (CPP) benefits and services in My Service Canada Account (MSCA), you must register or sign in to MSCA.
Once registered or signed in, go to the "Canada Pension Plan” section on your MSCA dashboard.

To view Old Age Security (OAS) services and benefits you may be eligible for, visit Old Age Security services in MSCA.
How to view your CPP information in MSCA
View your application status
On your MSCA dashboard, select "View my status updates" to view messages about the status of your application for CPP or CPP disability benefits.
If you applied for OAS benefits, you can view your application status. On your MSCA dashboard, go to the “Old Age Security” section and select “Manage my benefits”, then select “Your benefits”.
View your payment information
On your MSCA dashboard, select "View my payments" to view payment details. You can print an official proof of payment report of your CPP and CPP disability benefits. You will be able to view your payment information for the current year and the past 2 years.
If you receive OAS benefits, you can view your payment information. On your MSCA dashboard, go to the “Old Age Security” section and select “Manage my benefits”, then select “Your benefits”.
View your estimated monthly CPP benefits
If you have contributed to the CPP, you can view your estimated monthly CPP benefits by selecting "View my benefit estimates" on your MSCA dashboard.
View your CPP statement of contributions
If you have contributed to the CPP, you can view or request your official statement of contributions be mailed by selecting "View my contributions" on your MSCA dashboard.
How to update your personal information in MSCA

Update your telephone number
To view, change or delete your home, work, and mobile telephone numbers, select "Update my profile" on your MSCA dashboard, then select “Telephone number” under “Canada Pension Plan”.
Note: Telephone number updates are automatically applied to both CPP and OAS benefits.
Update your name, marital status or date of birth
You can’t make this type of update in MSCA. Contact us by phone to speak with an agent. They can tell you how to update this information.
Give consent for someone to communicate on your behalf
To view, add, change or delete an authorized person who can communicate with Service Canada on your behalf about your CPP or CPP disability benefit, select "Give consent to communicate on my behalf" on your MSCA dashboard.
If you receive OAS benefits, you can view, add, change or delete who you have authorized to communicate with Service Canada on your behalf. On your MSCA dashboard, go to the “Old Age Security” section and select “Manage my benefits”, then select “Your benefits”.
How to submit and view supporting documents in MSCA
Submit supporting documents
You can upload supporting documents for recent applications for disability, death or survivor benefits.
To submit supporting documents, select the benefit you want to upload documents for under the “Documents” section of your MSCA dashboard.
This service is only available for:
- disability benefit
- post-retirement disability benefit
- request for reconsideration for disability benefit
- death benefit, and
- survivor’s pension and child(ren’s) benefits
Submit a declaration of attendance at school or university
Students aged 18 to 25 who are renewing their children’s benefit can submit their proof of enrolment by signing into or registering for MSCA.
To submit your request online, select “Submit a declaration of attendance at school or university” on your MSCA dashboard.
Request your child-rearing provision
If you have applied or are receiving a CPP retirement pension or CPP disability benefits, you may request the child-rearing provision by selecting "View or request my child-rearing provision" on your MSCA dashboard.
Submit a request for reconsideration of a decision
If you disagree with a decision about your CPP application, you can ask Service Canada to reconsider the decision.
To submit your request online, select “Request a review of a decision” on your MSCA dashboard, then select “Ask Service Canada to reconsider” under “Step 1”.
Submit an appeal to the Social Security Tribunal of Canada
If Service Canada reconsiders and you disagree with the new decision, you can appeal to the Social Security Tribunal (SST). The SST is an independent administrative tribunal. It is separate from Service Canada.
To appeal to the SST online, select “Request a review of a decision” on your MSCA dashboard, then select “Appeal to the Social Security Tribunal" under "Step 2"
How to access your CPP tax slips in MSCA
View, save and print your CPP tax slips
If you received CPP benefits this year or in the last 6 years, you can view, save and print your official T4A(P)/NR4 tax slips in MSCA.
Electronic tax slips are considered official documents by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). They can be attached to your income tax return.
To get your T4A(P)/NR4 slips in MSCA, select “View my tax slips” on your MSCA dashboard.
For any other tax slips (such as T3, T4, T4RIF, T4RSP, T5, T5007 or T5008), visit the CRA's My Account for individuals or contact the CRA.

Exceptions: T4A(P)/NR4 slips unavailable in MSCA
- You have a new Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- If you recently obtained a new SIN, you will not be able to view any T4A(P)/NR4 slips issued under your previous SIN in MSCA. Contact us to request copies by mail.
- Your tax slips will not be available in MSCA and will be mailed to you if:
- your benefit amount is negative (you were overpaid, with the overpayment exceeding the total benefits paid for the tax year)
- you received the one-time payment for older seniors
- you received CPP benefits resulting from one of our social security agreements with another country, and meet any of these conditions:
- your CPP payment consists of both CPP and Régime de rentes du Québec
- your benefit amount is negative (you were overpaid, with the overpayment exceeding the total benefits paid for the tax year)
- you live in Quebec and receive CPP benefits
- you have an overpayment with another government program, for example the CRA or Veterans Affairs
Change the delivery option for your T4A(P)/NR4 slips
You can choose to receive your T4A(P)/NR4 slips online or by mail. To change your delivery option, select "Change my tax slip delivery options" on your MSCA dashboard.
If you chose to receive your T4A(P)/NR4 online, you will not:
- receive them by mail, or
- be notified when they are available in MSCA
Deadline for receiving your T4A/NR4 slips by mail
To receive your T4A(P)/NR4 slips by mail, you must change your option before December 31. If you update your choice later, the change will take effect the following year.
T4A(P)/NR4 slips delivery schedule
Electronic tax slips for the current tax year are available in MSCA no earlier than February 1 of each year.
Paper tax slips are mailed by the end of February of each year. Ensure that your mailing address is correct in MSCA before January 1 of the same year.
Amended T4A(P)/NR4 slips
Your T4A(P)/NR4 tax slips may be amended after they are issued.
You can view, save, or print amended CPP tax slips in MSCA 7 to 10 days after the amendment is processed
Accessing T4A(P)/NR4 slips on behalf of someone else
You cannot access the tax slip online services in MSCA if you are:
- a registered trustee
- a guardian
- another legal representative taking care of a client's financial affairs
You can complete transactions on another person's behalf by mail, by telephone or in person only.
Federal voluntary tax deductions
You can view, start, change or stop a federal voluntary tax deduction at any time in MSCA. Select "Change my tax deductions" on your MSCA dashboard.
You will view your:
- estimated gross amount
- federal voluntary tax deduction
- estimated net monthly payment after deduction
If you receive OAS benefits, you can view or update your voluntary tax deduction. On your MSCA dashboard, go to the “Old Age Security” section, select “Manage my benefits”, then select “Your benefits”.
