Sharing information about quitting smoking
Our resources include empowering testimonials of people who have successfully quit smoking, as well as other resources that encourage quitting and that inform about the risks of tobacco use.
These resources reinforce that quitting is possible and that combining effective approaches improves the chances of success. There is no wrong way to quit when choosing from the array of evidence-based quit smoking tools and supports.
We want to:
- increase awareness about the dangers of tobacco use
- inspire reflection and action by sharing testimonials of real people who have successfully quit smoking
- raise awareness of the array and effectiveness of quit smoking aids
- promote the combination of tools and support for increased success of quitting
- encourage the development of a personalized quit smoking plan
This will help people in Canada make informed decisions around the use of tobacco and provide information and resources to help people quit smoking.
