Mycoplasma genitalium: An emerging sexually transmitted pathogen with limited treatment options. It can cause non-gonococcal urethritis in men. In women, it can cause cervicitis and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), and has been associated with preterm birth, spontaneous abortion and infertility.
