Legislative Environment

The Minister of National Defence is responsible to Parliament on matters relating to national defence for the following statutes:

  • Aeronautics Act;
  • Anti-Personnel Mines Convention Implementation Act;
  • Canadian Forces Superannuation Act;
  • Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal Act;
  • Defence Services Pension Continuation Act;
  • Emergencies Act;

  • Visiting Forces Act.
