Purpose
The health and safety of Canadian patients is a top priority for the Government of Canada, and as such, Health Canada is undertaking a public consultation with Canadians on drug shortage notification. The purpose is to seek feedback from Canadians and other key stakeholders on the current approach to drug shortage notification in Canada, on how this approach is meeting their needs for timely, comprehensive and reliable public information, and to chart the best path forward. Comments received from this consultation will be taken into account when assessing how well the current system is working.

This online consultation on drug shortage notification is open for comment starting May 22 to July 5, 2014 (45 calendar days). There are several ways to participate:
