Having been born the year Her Majesty came to the throne, Queen Elizabeth has always been my Queen. When she came to Montréal to open the St. Lawrence Seaway, my parents made sure we were there to wave as her car passed by. I still have the small broach and the photo of her and Prince Phillip which were given out to all the school children at the time. I loved her smile, as my Mum had the same one. My condolences to all her family at this time of great sadness.

The only Queen I knew. My paternal Grandmother was from Wales, so I saw the admiration and love she had for the Queen. Queen Elizabeth was the 3rd monarch she had known in her lifetime, but she loved her the most for her devotion to her subjects, her work during the 2nd World War and her love of animals. Her time had come to rejoin her husband, but she will be missed. What a wonderful woman and Queen she was.
Tout mon respect...
J'ai 66 ans et vous avez occupée toute ma vie en arrière plan..
Un très grand plaisir de vous serrer la main à Rideau Hall le 1er juillet 1990, une réception privée dans le cadre de la Fête Nationale!!!
Bon repos!!!
