Throughout my lifetime, I have only sung 'God save the Queen'. The words, 'gracious, noble and glorious' were, at most times, applicable, and the sentiment of 'long to reign over us', certainly came to fruition, I am sad to see this chapter come to an end. She will be dearly missed.
My British maternal grandmother met my grandfather (a Canadian soldier) during the Second World War and married in the year 1942. Growing up, I remember my Nana speaking fondly of the Monarchy and of the respect and love she had for Her Majesty. We would often have tea in pretty teacups and I would try to mimic her British accent. If my Nana were here today she would be saddened to hear of the passing of the Queen. May She Rest in Peace.
Rest in peace my late Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. Thank you for your decades of selfless service to the Commonwealth, and for getting our nation through the most trying times with utter grace and diligence. Thank you also for your correspondence when I was a child. I still have your letters, and it made me feel seen and whole to receive your reply. One of my first memories involves the royal family as my mother was a huge supporter. When the Queen visited Ottawa in the 90’s, I remember going to the Hill as a family to see her. I lost my mother too soon and this feels like losing the last connection. I’m glad my daughter’s first Queen was my grandmother’s first Queen, my mom’s and mine.
We would like to send our condolences to the Royal family and friends on the passing of the Queen.
You will always have the memories to last a lifetime and to pass them on for generations to come.

Queen Elizabeth meant a lot to me as a leader. Her position represents the balance against elected government - a steady hand, which was a task she excelled at. She will be missed, though her legacy, example and inspiration live on. I send my condolences.
I have a deep respect for Queen Elizabeth. I wish our government would have given all Canadians the chance to take the day to participate in her funeral and ceremony. She is the only monarch I have ever known and likely the only female to hold that position for a long time to come. Long live the Queen! Rest In Peace now.

J'offre mes sinceres condoléances a tous les membres de la famille royale.
Queen Elizabeth ..a truly genuine, professional and extremely caring person!! Your reign has been remarkable!
As a mom of a RCMP ..the connection with monarchy feels like family!!
I grew up singing O Canada everyday in school ..grateful for the opportunity!
Never to be forgotten!
During Queen Elizabeth’s lifetime, I was privileged to have met her several times during walk-abouts when I lived in Alberta, Canada. She had an incredible smile and presence about her and left me with an impression that she was truly interested in meeting people regardless of the obligations of her time schedule and, I’m sure, weariness. May God rest your soul, good and faithful servant and may God comfort your family; they have a wonderful example to follow. God save the King!
I offer my sincere condolences on the loss of the Queen. She will continue to be in our thoughts forever.
Thank you your Majesty for your dedicated service to your country and the Commonwealth. Sincere sympathy to the entire Royal family.

Profond respect à sa Majesté la reine Élisabeth II, elle nous manquera très certainement avec le peu de temps qu’on l’a eu comme souveraine en tant que nouveau canadien.
