My late grandmother was a proud British lady who spent most of her life in Canada. She taught me how to respect others and to be kind. Traits she said she learned from the Queen. I admired the Queen through her. How honourable a lady the Queen was - a ruler of millions, yet so down to earth, quiet, funny, smart, and she loved her family, first before all else. And she loved Canada. To her family - you are so blessed to have had this beautiful soul in your life. May she now Rest In Peace.
Thank you for your service.
Proud to have served, and continuing to serve. Thank you for your service to and on behalf of all of us. You set the standard that inspires all of us to do better.
My deepest condolences, heartfelt prayers and best wishes to the Royal family. Elizabeth II will always be my queen.

My Great Grandmother's most cherished possession was the Queen's letter she received marking the occasion of her 100th birthday. Was blessed to see the Queen on 2 separate visits to Canada, once in 1990 when she was heading out from the Palliser Hotel--elegant in her ballgown, stole and crown, and again, 20 years later when she led the International Fleet Review to commemorate the Royal Canadian Navy's 100th year.
