Printable products and static graphics: Design Standard for the Federal Identity Program
The official symbols must be applied to printable products and static graphics that contain a government message. These include any product in a print or digital medium such as publications, posters, infographics, presentations and graphics shared on social media.
See Core elements and How to present the official symbols for details about colour, sizing, and other aspects of using the symbols.

When to apply the symbols
The Canada wordmark and the corporate signature must be applied to products that contain information about government programs and services, a call to action, hashtags, website URLs, or other types of messages as follows:
- the Canada wordmark and corporate signature must be clear and prominent
- If the medium or size of the product does not allow for both symbols to be displayed at a legible size, the Canada wordmark can be used alone
- on multi‑page products, the Canada wordmark and corporate signature must appear on the front cover
- the Canada wordmark and corporate signature must be clear and prominent
-
When the symbols are not required
Products that do not contain a government message or call to action (for example, event photos and stock imagery) do not require the Canada wordmark or corporate signature.
