The Bastarache Report described in details a toxic work environment for women in the RCMP, referring to a culture that tolerates misogynistic and homophobic attitudes among its leaders and members. Far from being the case of a few “bad apples”, Justice Bastarache described a devastating, long standing set of affairs that stained the reputation of an iconic Canadian institution.
